balloon repels a styrofoam plate, which was charged by rubbing against wool. If

same charges repel each other, and balloon is repeling the styrofoam plate. hence both of them are having same charges. As the balloon is negatively charged then the styrofoam plate will also be negatively charged. Hence the styrofoam plate is negatively charged.
