fig.2.37 (a)shows the displacement time graph for motion of a body.use it to calculate the velocity of body at 5=1s,2s,3s then draw the velocity time graph for it in fig.(b)​

Answer:

To find the velocities at 1st,2nd and 3rd seconds,

we should use the eqtn,

  • V=displacement/time

from the given graph,

  • at 1st second,

v(1)=2/1=2 m/s

  • 2nd second,

v(2)=4/2=2 m/s

  • 3rd second,

v(3)=6/3=2 m/s

which means that velocity is a constant at any instant of time,i.e, 2m/s

hence, our graph will be a straight line parallel to x axis with y coordinate 2.
