Answer:

Given: AABE ≈ ACD

To Prove: AADE - AABC.

Proof: Given A ABE ≈ ACD

Hence, AB = AC (cpct) .... 1

And AE = AD (cpct)

i.e. AD = AE .... 2

Dividing (2) by (1) AD/AE – A.E/AD......(3)

In AADE and ABC

angle A=angel A ( common)

AD/AE – A.E/AD (from 3)

Triangle ADE~ABC( SAS similarity criteria)

hence proved
