Fig of merit of 2 galvanometer of resistance 100ohms and 50ohms are 10^(-8)A/div and2×10^(-5)A/div respectively . In which case voltage sensitivity is more.

Resistances are

R_{1}=100 Ω

R_{2}=50 Ω

The two divisions are

1\ div=10^{-8}\ A

1\ div=2\times10^{-5}\ A

To Find: The case in which sensitivity is more

Solution:

Use the formula of ohm's law V=I\times R

Case-I for Resistance R_{1}

1\ div=100\times10^{-8}

=10^{-6}\ V

Case-II for Resistance R_{2}=50 \ Ω

1\ div=50\times2\times10^{-5} \\=10^{-3}\ V

Case-I has more sensitivity.
