When Odyssey in disguise as a beggar asks for his turn to compete in the contest, Antinous and other suitors went against this. They feared that Odyssey would win the contest and Penelope too. Antinous wanted to start the contest the next day. He mocked at the Odyssey's request to participating in the contest. Telemachus then comes forward and orders that Odysseus shall get a chance. After winning the contest, Odysseus and Telemachus killed all the suitors.
