1. Slide sorter button on the top left side ... in the View menu on the menu bar ..
     It is used to rearrange the (order of the) slides on the screen.

2.  Click on Slideshow (F5) button  on the top left in the menu item "View" on the menu bar.  That starts the slideshow.
     For applying a particular (selected) transition to take effect on the screen, in the animations menu item , there are icons to select in the Tab "Transitions to this slide".  Select the correct transition.

3.  Animation effect:  ClipArt, Shapes ?
