Hi, here’s the answer

On adding carbon di oxide to the calcium hydroxide / quick lime solution (CaOH2), the solution turns milky and on adding excess carbon di oxide, calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is formed which settles down as a precipitate and the milkiness disappears.
