Fill in the blanks:

1) The leather objects that are left in hot and humid weather for a long time are spoiled due to growth of fungi. Many fungal spores are present in the air and will germinate on most things like leather, if warm and humid conditions are provided.

2)The food plants is stored as Starch. The food product formed by plants is carbohydrate and is transformed and is stored as starch. However, plants also make other food products such as proteins and fats. Proteins, for example are formed by adding nitrogen chains to the carbohydrates.

3)Permanent teeth grow in place of milk teeth. The permanent teeth replace milk teeth.

4)Example of an animal which chews cud is a cow. Goats and sheep are other examples of these animals that chew cud which are known as ruminants.
