A verb is an action word.

Example: She is singing.

               He is driving.

               They are watching a movie.

A verb can also be expressed through various tense forms.

Example: They have been watching that movie for several weeks.

I had gone for keyboard classes last year.

I will be doing my higher studies in the United States.

I have been learning English for seven years now. But last year I didn't work hard enough for English, that's why my marks weren't really that good then. As I want to pass my English exam successfully next year.

Hope it helps :)
