Given :- Fill in the numbers from 1 to 9 (without repetition) so that each side of the magic triangle adds up to 17.

Solution :-

we have to use numbers from 1 to 9, without any repetition so that, sum of all three sides is equal to 17.

First case Possible :-

  • 1 + 5 + 9 + 2 = 17
  • 2 + 4+ 8+ 3 = 17
  • 3 + 6 + 7 + 1 = 17
  • 1 + 5 + 9 + 2 = 2 + 4+ 8+ 3 = 3 + 6 + 7 + 1 = 17
  • Refer to first ∆ in the image .

Second case Possible :-

  • 1 + 6 + 8 + 2 = 17
  • 2 + 5 + 7 + 3 = 17
  • 3 + 4 + 9 + 1 = 17
  • 1 + 6 + 8 + 2 = 2 + 5 + 7 + 3 = 3 + 4 + 9 + 1 = 17 .
  • Refer to second ∆ in the image.
