If your video is to show creativity in video editing and you want to use tons of effects, you can go for Sony Vegas. It has many features that allow you to edit your videos and made a simple vid looks like a sci-fi movie. But using Sony Vegas requires basic video editing skills. If this is your first time editing video, I don't recommend Sony Vegas for you. The first time I used it (without any skills and much knowledge about video editing), I was so frustrated that I don't think video editing is for me.
