Without loss of Generality or without

loss of fractional value we can multiply

or divide the numerator or denominator

with same number .

i ) - 5 / 6 = ( - 5 × 4 ) / ( 6 × 4 )

= ( -20 × 3 ) /( 24 × 3 ) = -60/72

ii ) -5/8 = ( -5 × 3 ) / ( 8 × 3 ) = - 15 / 24

= ( -15 × 3 ) / ( 24 × 3 ) = -45 / 72

Therefore ,

10 rational numbers between

( -5 / 6 ) = - 60 / 72 and ( - 5/ 8 ) = ( - 45/72) are

- 59/72 , - 58/72 , - 57/72 , -56/72 , -55/72 ,

- 54/72 , -53/72 , -52 /72 , -51/72 , -50/72
