Find: 2/3 of (i) 18 and (ii) 27

\dfrac{2}{3} \text { of } 18

= \dfrac{2}{3} \times 18

= \dfrac{2 \times 18 }{3}

= \dfrac{36}{3}

= \dfrac{36 \div 3}{3 \div 3}

= 12


Question (ii):

\dfrac{2}{3} \text { of } 27

= \dfrac{2}{3} \times 27

= \dfrac{2 \times 27}{3}

= \dfrac{54}{3}

= \dfrac{54 \div 3}{3 \div 3}

= 18
