Find: 3/4 of (i) 16 and (ii) 36

Question (i):

\dfrac{3}{4} \text { of } 16

= \dfrac{3}{4} \times 16

= \dfrac{3 \times 16 }{4}

= \dfrac{48 }{4}

= \dfrac{48 \div 4 }{4 \div 4}

= 12


Question (ii):

\dfrac{3}{4} \text { of } 36

= \dfrac{3}{4} \times 36

= \dfrac{3 \times 36}{4}

= \dfrac{108}{4}

= \dfrac{108 \div 4}{4 \div 4}

= 27
