Let the consecutive numbers be x , x+1 and x+2

x + x+1 + x+2 = 48

3x + 3 = 48

3x = 48-3

3x = 45

x = 15

Thus the numbers are 15 , 15+1=16 , 15+2=17

So,

=) 3R + 3 = 48

=) 3R= 48 -3

=) 3R= 45

Now,

1st number, R= 15.

2nd number, R+1= 15 +1 = 16.
