Question:

Find a and d for an AP 1,4,7,10....

     After understanding the question we can understand that the given numbers are in the form of A.P.

Common difference:

       d = t2 - t1             ( t2 = 4, t1 = 1 )

           = 4 - 1

       d = 3

    [Since the following is an A.P., find one d is enough]

To find a value

       a = 1

    [Since a is the first number in the A.P.]

Therefore,

                d = 3, a = 1
