A:B=2:3; B:C=4:5; C:D = 6:7

Think of ratios as fractions, multiply the three ratios

We get A:D = 2x4x6/(3x5x7) = 16/35 = 16:35

A:B= 2/3---------(1)

B:C = 4/3---------(2)

C:D= 2:3 ----------(3)

A:B:C:D

= A/B/C/D

=A/B*D/C

=2/3*3/2. [from 1 and 3]

= 1
