By the given question,

Let the given number be x.

The number is increased by 15 % .

So 15 % of the number is,

x × 15/100 = 15x/100

Now,

As number is increased by 15%,

x + 15x/100 = 207

100 + 15x /100 = 207

115x = 20700

x = 20700/115

x = 180.

VERIFICATION

180× 15/100 = 27.

180 + 27 = 207.

Thus verified.

Answer:

Let the number be x ,

Then according to the question,

=> x/1 + 15x/100 = 207

=> 115x / 100 = 207

=> 115x = 207 × 100

=> 115x = 20700

=> x = 20700 / 115

=> x = 180
