Hi friends the answer is..
2x = x/2 + 45
==> 2x - x/2 = 45
<==> (3x)/2 = 45
==> 3x = 90
==> x = 90/3 = 30, the unknown number.

Let the number be x
According to the question :-
2x=45+ x/2
=> 2x= (45*2 + x )/2
Multiplying both sides by 2
=>2* 2x= 90+x
=>4x=90+x
Subtracting x from both sides
=>4x-x=90
=>3x=90
Dividing both sides by 3
=>x=90/3
=>x=30
Verification:-
2x=45+x/2
2*30=45+30/2
60=45+15
60=60
LHS=RHS
Therefore, verified...
Hence,the number is 30
