As given:-

α+β=2

and ,

α*β= -3

so, by the general equation  i.e.,

ₓ²-(α+β)ₓ+αβ         --------(1)

so by putting the given values of sum and the product of the roots respectively in the above eq.(1)

we get,

x²-2x-3       <-------Answer.
