To find the rational numbers lying between -2/5 and 1/4, we shall multiply both of the fractions with another fractions to get a common denominator.

Therefore -

 -  \frac{2}{5}  \times  \frac{8}{8}  =   - \frac{16 }{40}  \\  \\  \frac{1}{4}  \times  \frac{10}{10}  =  \frac{10}{40}

So we have got two new fractions with same denominator that is 40.

rational \: numbers \: between \:  -  \frac{16}{40}  \: and \:  \frac{10}{40}  \: are \:  -  -  \\  \\   - \frac{15}{40} , \:  -  \frac{14}{40} , \:  -  \frac{13}{40}  \: and \: so \:  on...
