We \:  have \:  to \:  take \:  LCM

 \\ So  \: LCM \: of\:  \frac{3}{8} \:  and \: \frac{2}{5}   \: is \:  \frac{15}{40}  \: and \:  \frac{16}{40}

 \\ So  \: now  \: that \: there \: are \: no \:number

in \: between \: we \: have \: multiply \: both

numerator \: and \: denominator \: by

any \: number \: say \: 2

 \\  \frac{15 \times 2}{40 \times 2}  \: and \:  \frac{16 \times 2}{40 \times 2}

 \\  \frac{30}{80}  \: and \:  \frac{32}{80}

 \\The \: answer \: is \:  \frac{31}{80}

I hope this will help you dear..

Answer:

We know that,

A rational number lying between any two Rational numbers a and b is (a+b) 2

Now,

Here, a = b = ²

A rational number lying between andis (1) (1) </p><p>= (15+16) 40

31÷40

31÷40 × 1÷2

= 31/80
