Find a single discount equivalent to two successive discount of 20% and 10%

Answer:

Let MP =Rs. 100

Price after 20% discount on Rs. 100=Rs.80

price after 10% discount on Rs. 80 = 90% of Rs. 80 =Rs. 72

Discount offered = Rs. 100-72=28

single discount = 28%
