1

vector c  becomes =   ( 2.5 i -0.5 j )

Step-by-step explanation:

let vector c be    u i + v j + w k

c.(i+j)=2

( u i + v j + w k ) . ( i+j)

=  U+V =2  ......................................eq 1

c.(i-j)=3

( u i + v j + w k ) . (i-j) = 3

= U - V = 3  ........................eq 2

c.k=0

( u i + v j + w k ) .k = 0

w = 0

adding  equation 1 and 2

2 u = 5

u = 2.5

v = -0.5

vector becomes =   ( 2.5 i -0.5 j )
