moving along (1) a smooth horizontal surface, (ii) a horizontal surface which produces a
frictional force

a) F=ma

100=10a

10=a

Therefore, acceleration=10m/s^2

b) Horizontal force=100N

Frictional force= -80N

Therefore, net force=20N

F=ma

20=10a

a=2

Therefore, acceleration is 2m/s^2
