and 4kg block moves up with 2a acceleration by constraint

let tension in 4kg bock is t

and tension in 5kg block will be 2t

applying second equation for 4 kg

t-4g=8a

applying second equation for 5 kg

5g-2t = 5a

multiply first equation by 2

2t-8g = 16a

now add 3 and 2

-3g = 21a

a=-g/7

that means we have assumed reverse

4kg block moves downward by 2g/7

5 kg block moves upwards by g/7
