10x² – 6x –4 =0

10x² – 10x + 4x – 4=0 .......( by splitting the middle term)

10x (x –1) + 4 (x – 1) =0

(10x + 4) (x – 1)=0

either 10x + 4 =0 or x – 1 = 0

i. e. x = – 4/10 or x = 1

x = – 2/5 or x = 1

so,, zeroes of the above polynomial are – 2/5 and 1

hope the answer

p(x)=3x+10x^2-9x-4

=10x^2-6x-4

now ,alpha =1 (given)

we know

alpha+beta=-coefficient of x/ coefficient of x^2

1+beta=-(-6)/10

beta=6/10-1

so beta=-2/5

hence the other zero=-2/5
