let the complementary angle is x
then supplementary angle is 3x
x + 3x = 180°
4x = 180°
x = 180°/4
x= 45 °
3x = 45×3 = 135°

supplement of 45 is 135

complement:supplement : : 1:3

45/135 = 1/3
