"The Member of Parliament is the term given to the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The lower house is known as Lok Sabha with the total time period of 5 years whereas Upper house is termed as Rajya Sabha with the total time period of 6 years.

The lawmaking process is done by the ruling party. They send out their bill in Lok Sabha and once it is cleared from there then it moves to Rajya Sabha. When the bill is passed through Rajya Sabha as well then President has to sign it as the final authority.
