In the above figure:

There are 2 triangles: Triangle ACB and AOB.

In triangle AOB,

OA and OB is the radius of circle.

.: OA = OB.

As OA = OB the angles opposite to them are equal i.e. <OAB =< OBC.( Theoram of triangle).

So, <OAB = <OBC =40°.

Now, In triangle OAB---

<OAB + <OBC + <AOB=180°.

40°+ 40° + < AOB =180°.

<AOB=180°-80°.

<AOB=100°....

Now According to the Circle Theoram:

The angle formed at the centre of circle is twice the angle formed at its circumference.

So,<AOB is twice of <ACB.

.: <ACB= half of <AOB.

<ACB=100/2=50°
