Given -----
Angle of incidence = 60°.
Refractive Index of Sphere = √3.
We know that ....
Refractive Index = Sine (Angle of incidence)/Sine (Angle of refraction).
{Sin 60° = √3/2}
√3 = Sin 60/Sin r.
Sin r × √3 = √3/2
Sin r = 1/2.
As Sin 1/2 = 30°....
So angle of refraction is 30°.
