  • a+2d = 16
  • a+ 7d = a+4d+12
  • d = 4
  • a = 8
  • AP = 8,12,16,20

Step-by-step explanation:

a3 = 16

a7 = a5 + 12

as we know

a3 = a +2d

therefore

a + 2d = 16 ------ 1eq

similarly

a7 = a5 + 12

a + 6d = a + 4d + 12

a + 6d - ( a + 4d ) = 12

a + 6d - a - 4d = 12

2d = 12

d = 12/2

d = 6 ------ 2eq

now put 2eq in 1eq

a + 2d = 16

a + 2(6) = 16

a + 12 = 16

a = 4

AP is

4 , 10 , 16 _ _ _
