area of shaded region = area of square - area of 4 quadrants
area of shaded region = 14² - 22/7 × 7 × 7
area of shaded region = 196 - 154 = 42 cm²
area of shaded region = 14² - 22/7 × 7 × 7
area of shaded region = 196 - 154 = 42 cm²

Firstly find the area of the square which is in this case,
14 * 14 = 196 cm^2
Now area of the 4 quadrants is:-
1/4 * 22/ 7 *7 *7 cm ^ 2
then by subtracting hem both you would get the area of the shaded region.
14 * 14 = 196 cm^2
Now area of the 4 quadrants is:-
1/4 * 22/ 7 *7 *7 cm ^ 2
then by subtracting hem both you would get the area of the shaded region.
