Solution :
diagonal of a Quadrilateral ( d ) = 40cm
lengths of the perpendiculars drawn
from the opposite vertices are h1 and
h2,
h1 = 16 cm ,
h2 = 12 cm
Area ( A ) = [ ( h1 + h2 )d ]/2
=> A = [ ( 16 + 12 )40 ]/2
= ( 30 × 40 )/2
= 30 × 20
= 600 cm²
Therefore ,
Area of the Quadrilateral = A = 600cm²
