Answer:

Let the sides be a,b and c

a = 8 cm

b = 10 cm

P = 24 cm

c = P-(a+b)

= 24-(8+10)

= 24-18

= 6 cm

s = P/2 = 24/2 = 12 cm

s-a = 12-8 = 4 cm

s-b = 12-10 = 2 cm

s-c = 12-6 = 6 cm

By Heron's Formula,

Area of = s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

= 12×4×2×6

= 2×6×2×2×2×6

= 2×2×6

= 24 cm²
