We know that,

Area of circle =$πr^2$

R = $\frac{D}{2}$

R = $\frac{7}{2}= 3.5$

Area = $\frac {22}{7} × 3.5 × 3.5$

=> $22 × 0.5 × 3.5 = 38.5$

=》7/2 = 3.5

Area of circle = pie × r^2

= 22/7 × 3.5 × 3.5

= 38.5 ans.
