Given :-

  • Cylinder
  • Radius = 7 cm
  • Height = 12 cm

To find :-

  • Total Surface Area

Solution :-

Total Surface Area of Cylinder is given by :-

{\large{\underline{\boxed{\bf{\red{T.S.A =2 \pi r(r+h)}}}}}}

Here :-

  • T.S.A = Total Surface Area
  • π = pi
  • r = Radius
  • h = hight

So,

 \large{\bf{{T.S.A =2 \pi r(r+h)}}}

 \large{\bf{{T.S.A =2  \times  \cfrac{22}{7} \times 7(7+12)}}}

 \large{\bf{{T.S.A =2  \times  22 \times (19)}}}

 \large{\bf{{T.S.A  = 44 \times 19}}}

 \large{ \underline{ \overline{ \boxed{\bf{ \pink{T.S.A =836\: cm^2}}}}}}

So, Total Surface are is 836 cm².

Concept

Total surface area is the area which covers all the area of a solid figure including its curved surface and its base area.

Curved surface area is the area only of border line of any figure excluding its base area.

Given :

Radius of the cylinder =7 cm

Height of the Cyclinder=12cm

To Find :

Total Surface Area and Curved Surface Area

Know :Radius is half of diameter

\huge\bold{\gray{\sf{Answer:}}}

Explanation:

\bold{\boxed{\boxed{Curved \:Surface\: Area \:Of\: a \:Cylinder=2πrh}}}

=>value of π is 22/7 or 3.14 Here ,we take 22/7

 =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 7 \times 12

 =  > 44 \times 12 = \bold{\blue{58 {cm}^{2}}}

\bold{\boxed{\boxed{Total \:Surface \:Area=2πr(r+h)}}}

 =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 7(7 +  12)

 =  >  \frac{44}{7}  \times 7(19)

 =  > 44 \times 19 ={\red{ 836 {cm}^{2}}}

\therefore CSAof Cyclinder is \bold{\blue{58 {cm}^{2}}}

\therefore TSA of Cyclinder is \bold{\red{836 {cm}^{2}}}
