Solution :
distance between light on the the top of light house and ship = H
The height of the top of light house P = 25 m
Distance between the bottom of light house and the ship B = 180 m
Applying Pythagoras theorem,
H² = (P)² + (B)²
=>H² = (25)² + (180)²
=>H² = 625 + 32400
=>H² = 33025
=> H = 181.7
distance between light on the the top of light house and ship = 181.7 m
