for log to be defined
( | x -5 | -2) > 0 and log3 ( | x -5 | -2) >0
| x - 5 | > 2 and | x -5| -2> 1 and |x -5| > 3
so,
| x - 5 | > 3
( x -5 ) > 3 or ( x -5 ) < -3
x > 8 or x < 2
so , domain x € ( 8 , ∞ ) U ( -∞ , 2)
