Answer:

equation of line formula is y-y1=m(x-x1)

y1-y2÷x1-x2=m

-4-2÷3-5=3

m will be the slope

so equation of line will be y-(-4)=3(x-3)

y+4=3x-9

this is the equation if line which is passing through the points (3,5) and (-4,2)

Given:-

The points are , (3,5) and (-4,2)

To Find:-

Equation of the line passing through the given points

Explanation:-

From two-point form

\blue{\boxed{\pink{\dfrac{y - y_1}{y_2 - y_1} = \dfrac{x - x_1}{x_2 - x_1}}}}

Here,

  • x_1 = 3
  • x_2 = -4
  • y_1 = 5
  • y_2 = 2

On putting the values

{\rightarrow}\:\dfrac{y-5}{2-5} = \dfrac{x-3}{-4-3}

{\rightarrow}\:\dfrac{y-5}{-3} = \dfrac{x-3}{-7}

{\rightarrow}\:-7(y-5) = -3(x-3)

{\rightarrow}\:-7y+35 = -3x+9

{\rightarrow}\:3x-7y+35-9 = 0

{\rightarrow}\bold{\:3x-7y+26 = 0}

° The required equation is 3x-7y+26 = 0
