Since R(AB) and R(BC) are in series

Therefore

R1 = R(AB) + R(BC)

R1 = 2 ohm + 1 ohm = 3 ohm

R1 = 3 ohm

Since R(AD) and R(DC) are in series

Therefore

R2 = R(AD) + R(DC)

R2 = 2 ohm + 1 ohm = 3 ohm

R2 = 3 ohm

Since R1 , R2 and R(AC) are in Parralel

Therefore

1 / R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R(AC)

1 / R = 1/3 ohm + 1/3 ohm + 1/3 ohm = 3/3 ohm

1 / R = 1 ohm

R = 1 ohm

Therefore Total Resistance Offered is 1 ohm
