In series the equivalent resistance will be 2+3+4 = 9ohms
but in parallel the equivalent resistance will be 1/2+1/3+1/4
= (6+4+3)/12
= 13/12
= 1.083 ohms

Answer:

Series = 9 ohm

Parallel = 0.83 ohm

Explanation:

Series = R1 + R2 + R3

          = 2 + 3 + 4

          = 9 OHM

Parallel = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3

            = 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4

           BY TAKING LCM 12 IS THE ANSWER....

           TAKE EQUIVALENT FRACTION IN THREE OF THEM

   = 6/12 + 4/12 + 3/12

  1/Rp = 13/12

  Rp = 12/13

         = 0.8123 ohm

 AFTER ROUNDING IT OFF

 Parallel = 0.83 ohm.
