Given that pressure is 20 N/cm² and force applied is 500 Newton.

We have to find area .

From the data :

Pressure (P) = 20 N/cm²

Force (F) = 500 N

Area (A) = ?

We know formula :

→ Pressure = Force / Area [P = F/A]

Where,

Pressure is measured as N/m²

Force is measured as N

Area is measured as m²

Now substituting values,

→ 20 = 500/Area

→ 20 × Area = 500

→ Area = 500/20

→ Area = 25 cm²

Converting it into m² :

→ Area = 25/(100 × 100) m²

→ Area = 0.0025 m²

∴ Area is 25 cm² or 0.0025 m² ✓
