GST = net amount - original amount

$\longrightarrow\sf{ 504 - 450 }$

$\longrightarrow\sf{ 54 }$

GST % =( GST/original price ) × 100

$\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{54}{450}\times 100}$

$\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{5400}{450}}$

$\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{540÷9}{45÷9}}$

$\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{60÷5}{5÷5}}$

$\longrightarrow\sf{12}$

• Therefore 12% is GST charged .
