find HCF and LCM of 404 and 96 and verify that HCF and LCM product of two given numbers

404=2×2×101
96=2×2×2×2×2×3

hcf {404,96}= smallest power of each common prime factor
                    = 2×2=4
lcm{404,96}=2×2×2×2×2×101×3=9696

hence the hcf is 4 and lcm is 9696

verification:-  hcf×lcm=product of two no.
                      4 ×9696=404×96
                        38784=38784
hence verified

404 can be expressed as 2×2×101

96 can be expressed as 2×2×2×2×2×3

H.C.F of the given numbers is 2×2=4

L.C.M.of the given numbers=2×2×101×8×3=9696

Product of H.C.F and L.C.M=9696×4=38784

Product of two numbers=404×96=38784

Therefore, Product of H.C.F and L.C.M=Product of two numbers

Hence proved.
