Other Number = 144

Prime factorisation of 96 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

Prime factorisation of 144 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 ×3

HCF of 96 and 144 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 48

We know that,

One Number × Other Number = HCF × LCM

96 × 144 = 48 × LCM

LCM = 96 × 144 ÷ 48

LCM = 13824/48

LCM = 288

Hence,

LCM = 288

Verification,

One Number × Other Number = 96 × 144 = 13824

HCF × LCM = 48 × 288 = 13824

Hence,

One Number × Other Number = HCF × LCM ...... PROVED.....
