A composite number is a number which has factors other than unity and the number itself. Examples: 4, 6, 15, 100 and so on. It follows from this definition that the smallest composite number is 4 since the factors of 4 are: 1,2 and 4.

A prime number is a number whose sole divisors (factors) are unity (1) and the number itself. Examples of prime numbers: 2, 3, 5, 19, 71, etc. Therefore the smallest prime number = 2 since its divisors are only 1 and 2.

Find HCF of even prime numbers.

HCF of numbers in co-prime is 1.

8 least composite number

If we use Eratosthenes's sieve

composite numbers are numbers EXCEPT :-

Prime Number, 1

So my conclusion is 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15.
