put the value of x in polynomial

2x+7x-5(put x=1)

2×1+7×1-5

9-5=4 it means it is not factor of the polynomial

put x=(-1)

2×-1+7×-1-5

-9-5

-14 it means it is not factor of that polynomial

put x=(5)

2×5+7×5-5

45-5

40 they all are not factor of this polynomial
