find K if -2 is the root of the equation 3x^2-2x+k=0

Given quadratic equation 3x²-2x+k=0

It is given that , -2 is the root of the

equation ,

Now , substitute x = -2 in the equation,

we get

3(-2)² - 2( -2 ) + k = 0

=> 12 + 4 + k = 0

=> 16 + k = 0

=> k = -16
