We know that x-1 is a factor of the given polynomial x2-2x+k

Therefore, p(1)= (1)square- 2(1)+k

= 1x1 - 2x1 + k

= 1- 2 = -k

=-1 = -k

=-1/-1 = k ( because: -k= -1xk)

Therefore, By cancellation of the minus,

we have 1/1

so, k= 1
